Watersides 2009As discussed in the aftermath of the 2008 series there are a couple of changes relating to Race A for 2009.This race is pre-entry only. Absolutely NO late entries will be accepted. You CANNOT turn up and enter on the day. There is also an entry limit of 400 paddlers. This is necessary simply because the infrastructure of Great Bedwyn cannot cope with more than this. There were lots of complaints from residents and to ensure the continuation of the races something had to change. To race at A you will need a fully completed entry form, together with your estimated time for Race A, the correct fees and a copy of BCU cards. All this must reach me by Saturday 31st January 2009. That is, if I don?t get it before or in Saturday?s post it doesn?t count. You will note that you are now asked for an estimated time to complete race A. This is so that the check-in can be staggered with the slowest crews starting earlier and the faster ones later. The aim is to reduce congestion in Great Bedwyn. It will also reduce queues at check-in. Entries will be accepted as follows:All junior entries. Crews entering the complete series. Crews who have completed 10 or more complete series. In date order as received/postmarked.Successful entries will be posted on the website together with their check-in time. This will be the earliest time you can check-in. For all other races you can enter on the day.James TreadgoldWaterside Series Organiser
